THE HINDU VOCABS WITH MNEMONICS PART-1

1) Gesticulate (verb) इशारा करना/ संकेत करना

Meaning: use gestures, especially dramatic ones, instead of speaking or
to emphasize one’s words.

Mnemonic: jab guest (Gest) Ghar par aaye to maa ne unhe calculate (Culate)
krne ka इशारा किया।

Synonyms: gesture, signal, motion, wave, sign
Antonyms: speak, In-communicative 

2) Subsistence (noun) जीवननिर्वाह

Meaning: Disagreeing or incongruous.

Mnemonics: अगर सब (sub) सस्ता (sustinence) हो जाये तो जीवननिर्वाह आसान हो जायेगा।

Synonyms: Livelihood, maintenance, sustenance
Antonyms: dream, extinction, ghost, curb

3) Ingested (verb) निगलना

Meaning : Take (food, drink, or another substance) into the body by swallowing
or absorbing it.

Mnemonics: sounds like injected.

मेरे injection मत लगवाओ मै कडवी दवाई ही निगल लूँगा।

Synonyms: consume, swallow, take in, eat, devour, imbibe, drink, gobble up.

Antonyms: abstained, built, vomited

4) Intractable (adjective) असभ्य/ बेअदब

Meaning: Hard to control or deal with.

Mnemonics: अशिष्ट लोग interaction करने लायक नहीं होते।

Synonyms: unmanageable, uncontrollable, difficult, awkward, troublesome,
demanding, burdensome.
Antonyms:  docile, tractable, ductile, manageable

5)Throttling(गला घोंटना/कुचलना/दबाना)

Mnemonics: Throat को string से दबा दिया ।

Synonyms : trammel, strangle, smother, accelerator
Antonyms: harder,slow

6)Arable (adjective) कृषि योग्य

Meaning: (of land) used or suitable for growing crops.

Mnemonics: अरे(ara)ये तो कृषि के योग्य (able) है।

Synonyms: farmable, cultivable, fertile, productive
Antonyms: barren, bony, infertile

7) Yield (प्राप्ति/उत्पन्न करना)

Mnemonics: सब्जियाँ व फल field (sounds लाइक yield)  मे उत्पन्न होते है।

Synonyms : production, give way,  generate, render, ease up
Antonyms: deny, disallow, oppose, reject

8) Conventional (औपचारिक/परम्परागत)

Mnemonics: K3G मे अमिताभ बच्चन ने ऋतिक roshan से कहा था convent (conventional)
जाना हमारे यहाँ की परम्परा (परम्परागत)  है।

Synonyms : established, formal, schematic, traditional
Antonyms: unconventional, strange, futuristic, bohemian

9) Strident (कठोर/कर्कश)

Key: sounds like strong or stiff

Synonyms : clamant, clamorous, vociferous, continuant
Antonyms: soft, gentle, low, melodious, mild, muffled

10) Transient (अस्थायी/क्षणिक)

Key: transfers अस्थाई होते है। हर साल transfer होता रहता है।

Synonyms : ephemeral, fugacious, short-lived, transitory, volatile
Antonyms: permanent, lasting, unending, endless
