What is Noun ?

 

हम बचपन से पढ़ते आ रहे हैं - "A noun is a name of a person, place or a thing etc. "

क्या Noun की परिभाषा सिर्फ इतनी है?

नहीं, किसी भी नाम को हम NOUN कहते है। जैसे किसी person  का name (Rohan ,Radha  etc... ), किसी place का name (Delhi , Shimla etc.. ) , किसी प्राकृतिक आपदा (Natural Disaster ) का name (Flood , Earthquake etc ) , किसी feeling का name (Happy ,Sad, Excited etc. )  , किसी relation का name  ( Father , Teacher etc ),  किसी भी phase or condition  का name (Poverty etc ), किसी के विशिष्ट गुण (Characteristics) का name ( Kind etc )
Noun शब्द की उत्पत्ति  Latin भाषा के Nomen शब्द से हुई है। जिसका अर्थ है Name .
अतः हम कह सकते है की सभी names NOUN  है।

Types of Noun 

 

 

There are five types of Noun . (Noun पाँच प्रकार के होते हैं।  )

2) Collective Noun ( समूहवाचक )
3) Common Noun ( जातिवाचक )
4) Abstract Noun (भाववाचक )

         किसी व्यक्ति, वस्तु , तथा स्थान आदि के नाम को Proper Noun कहते है।

2) Common Noun
         वह Noun जो एक वर्ग अथवा जाति को दर्शाते है या प्रस्तुत करते है उन्हें Common Noun  कहते है।

3) Collective Noun
         Collective Noun एक समूह को दर्शाता है। 
Collective Noun represents a group.

4) Abstract Noun
       
         An abstract noun is a word which names something that you cannot see, hear, touch, smell, or taste. You can only feel it.
Ex. ( जैसे) : Happiness, Sadness, Poverty, Honesty, Bravery etc.

5) Material Noun

      A material noun is a word or material from which things are made .
